Stupid Holiday Tricks

It’s human nature. With a big holiday approaching, you want to clean off your desk, clear out your inbox, attend to all those undone to-dos and leave the office with a clean slate and clear conscience.

Of course you don’t always think about the poor chumps downstream whose inboxes are now overflowing with your detritus. The writers, the graphic designers, the video editors who have been pestering you for feedback for weeks and weeks.

And NOW you dump it in their laps? Just as they’re packing to go to grandma’s house? That’s dispiriting enough. Don’t compound the problem by then demanding instant turnaround on the revisions.

Have a happy holiday. And let your people have theirs!
